Amazon has slashed the price of a versatile multi-cooker, which has the capacity to cook a variety of different meals, and has been an “amazing innovation”.
The Russell Hobbs 28270 Good-to-Go Multicooker has a capacity of 6.5 litres and has various different modes – such as sear; roast; sous vide; slow cook; steam; rice; boil and keep warm.
There are various other multi-cookers available right now, such as the Morphy Richards Sear and Stew Slow Cooker (£56.51) and the Crockpot Lift and Serve Digital Slow Cooker (£49).
The Russell Hobbs version is now 32 per cent off on Amazon, down from £72.99 to £49.99 – a total saving of £23.
Shoppers have praised this gadget on Amazon, with many noting how versatile and one even dubbed it as an “amazing innovation”.
One happy customer wrote: “We replaced an old big standard slow cooker with this one. We looked at a lot of them from basic to self stirring but settled on this. It’s great that it comes apart and can go in the dishwasher but I rarely do that as it’s so easy to clean.

“Mainly bought for the sear function so I could brown any meat and cook off any veggies before setting it to slow cook which saves me another pan to wash up. Also really like the handles you can use to carry to the table once disconnected from the power.
“We have yet to try all the other functions. Highly recommend, looks good, quiet, non stick, easy to use!”
Another said: “I bought this a year and a half ago and I used it for many recipes. All of them came out great. Anything that I didn’t like it was because of the recipes I need to change not the device. It is easy to forget that is has soo many programs once you found recipes you like.
“So remember to use all the programs as it helps with diversity. I also stopped using the oven since I got it and reduced the hob as well. Soo Easy to clean!
“Also, don’t stop the cooking before its time, it gives sometimes might seem it’s done, but it will get much better to leave it the full time of recipe especially with the eight hour slow cook.”
And a third added: “This cooker works well and looks good, it can be used in different ways, and it can be used for service on the table.”
One customer noted that you cannot lift the cooker part out to wash, which they felt was a “negative” issue. They did however say: “My only negative is that the pot cannot be lifted out for washing, but you can remove the power pack which helps a bit. However, it is very easy to wash. Recommended.”
