Samsung phone called ‘fantastic’ gets sneaky post Prime Day cut by almost 20%

Amazon Prime Day may be over but there’s a great Samsung phone deal for those who don’t want to spend tons on the best device

These days, shoppers don’t need to buy the best smartphone on the market. That’s because middle-of-the-range smartphones can pack a huge punch – and Amazon might have a deal that packs as much of a punch as the phone we’ve found.

Amazon is selling the Samsung Galaxy A26 smartphone for £249, down from the usual £299 price. This means shoppers can save 17% even after Prime Day has finished.

The A26 is Samsung’s midrange option for users who don’t need the biggest and best features from its S Series phones. However, this model still comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate—perfect for entertainment and browsing.

The device also has a pretty decent battery life, with up to 17 hours with a 5,000mAh capacity and IP67 water and dust resistance to protect the device while out and about. Samsung has promised that the phone will receive six years of updates, and it also comes packed with AI features such as Circle to Search and Magic Eraser for photos so AI fans won’t miss out.

If the A26 doesn’t tick all the boxes, there are many other great phones to snap up. Mobiles.co.uk is selling the iPhone 17 Pro through iD Mobile with a 3-in-1 Belkin charger completely free. Prices start at £29.99 a month on 24-month contracts.

Amazon is selling the Samsung Galaxy A26 for 17% off at £249 for a limited time.

Samsung fans who want to go all out can get the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra for £43 a month with a £12 upfront cost. The retailer has sweetened the deal to include the new Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic worth £449 free of charge.

Despite its low cost, the Samsung A26 has received some great reviews from buyers. One shopper said: “I don’t care what the tech dudes told me, this phone is a match made in heaven for me. Its price is so great for the features and functions it has. And a huge upgrade from my old dying A21.”

Another shopper who called it ‘fantastic’ wrote: “Nice phone. Got this to replace my old phone as it was running out of memory. This one has a much bigger memory and should never run out. So that’s good for me and what I wanted.

“Good price too for a decent phone with everything you want – plus more. Still finding out different things. Would recommend.”

Not everyone was super pleased with their purchase, especially with the battery life and weight. One shopper added: “Heavy and unimpressive battery life. For me, the worst aspect of this phone is the lengthy delays in security patches.”
